Stone Sculptor & Robotic Stone Carving in Belgium

Matter born of nature, shaped by hand and machine. A creation atelier. Sculpture, digital stone cutting, furniture, monuments and robotic machining, for architects, collectors and stone professionals.

DV-Concept is the studio of Dorian Vanhorenbeeck — sculptor, designer and roboticist, drawing form out of stone, wood and light. From interior architecture and parametric facades to robotic stone carving and heritage restoration, every project follows the same path: from a living idea to matter given shape.

The crafts

  • Architecture & Design

Design the present. Interior architecture, concept houses, restaurants, offices and bespoke furniture. Unique forms and custom aesthetics — designed to be built.

  • Contemporary Sculpture

Stone for our time. Sculpture that answers contemporary values — ecology, technology, culture — in the most durable material of all: stone, an alternative to overconsumption.

  • Classic Sculpture & Restoration

Heritage & conservation. Stone copies, castings, stereotomy and technical drawing. Laser cleaning, micro scrubbing and misting to preserve a unique, irreplaceable heritage.

  • Robotics & Automation

The robotic atelier. KUKA robot programming, CNC machining, tool-path optimization and collision-safe simulation — efficiency and precision once unimaginable.

  • Computational Design

Algorithms as chisels. Rhino & Grasshopper parametric models, machine-learning-assisted design and G-code generation (JEDI, WOODBEE, BIBER). Less material, less energy, more freedom.

Selected works

  • Nexus Table — Stone furniture. Natural stone, a sharp geometric top on carved architectural legs perforated with bold cut-outs — a sculptural statement for a meeting room or a living room.
  • Coffee Table — Robotic fabrication. Wood, a parametric model and an all-in-one automated process: from design to robotic cutting, with no human intervention in the cutting.
  • Infinity Table — Parametric furniture. A base that seems to twist forever. A digital model refined step by step, then machined from premium materials — movement frozen into matter.
  • Wave Shelf — CNC furniture. A sculptural shelving system built on a flowing wave geometry — real storage with a strong visual identity, adaptable to dimensions, materials and space.
  • VASE-AI — Generative design. A generative, adaptive and interactive vase: designed by the user, optimized by an algorithm, manufactured through automation. AI as an extension of craftsmanship.
  • JEDI — Rhino & Grasshopper plugin. GCode tools for laser machines: a direct bridge between parametric geometry and digital fabrication. Beta available on Food4Rhino, source code on GitHub.
  • ONYX — Stone & light. When onyx meets innovation: the translucency of stone turned into a lamp that lives between sculpture, design and lighting.
  • MESH — Lighting design. A generated mesh structure exploring volume, transparency and light diffusion — machine learning meets platonic forms.
  • FEATHER — Sound sculpture. With Laurent Rivoire: a speaker carved in marble, fitted with rare broadband drivers and DSP tuning — the majesty of stone and the poetry of music.
